SOLID SQUAT STAND FOR YOUR GYM

This squat stand can be extended optionally with different bar holders. The numbered 40 top to bottom holes enable you to bench, too, and make it easy to recognize your preferred settings for your most commonly used exercises. You are not limited to squats or overhead presses, but can also perform assistance exercises such as pull-ups on the same training station.

This solid and stable 1.9m squat stand is ideal for ambitious home gym training, PT studios but also commercial gyms. The design is not too bulky due to a smaller box section and a space-saving alternative to our cages

A robust 60mm box section and a steel thickness of 3mm ensures that this squat stand is on the lighter side, while remaining solid enough for heavy weights. It is quick to assemble and can be anchored to the floor with bolts via two cut-outs at the bottom of the uprights for even more stability. A high-quality black powder coating protects the steel from scratches and erosion.

➲ From powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, to general weight training, the Heavy-Duty Squad Stand is your robust training station.

FEATURING A QUICK-RELEASE PULL-UP BAR

A new and practical feature here is the quick-release pull-up bar mechanism, allowing you to adjust the height of the bar hassle-free. Just pull the red safety pin, adjust the height to your needs, reinsert the pin and you're ready to go. With a relatively thick diameter of 38,5mm, the pull-up bar offers an increased grip surface, which helps you maintain a comfortable and strong grip.

Add the Flat Bench V2 to enhance your training station.

FAQ

Is a squat stand the right choice for my training set-up?

Choosing between squat stands, power cages, and squat racks can be an overwhelming decision to make. It all comes down to your individual preferences, training goals, and budget.

Squat stands are more space-efficient in comparison to power cages, but they are a sturdier option in contrast to the basic squat racks. Power cages offer somewhat limitless possibilities to shape your training, in terms of add-ons like safety catchers, cable attachments or dip stations, just to name a few. A squat stand can be expanded too, but not to that extent. It mostly features a solid base for various strength training styles, like powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting or general strength training.

While not as comprehensive as a power cage, a squat stand is a budget-friendly option for most private and commercial gym spaces.

Overall, squat stands are a reliable choice for those seeking a general, somewhat versatile training station that offers convenience and flexibility.

Awesome kit

I've wanted to upgrade my squat rack for a long time and this was a great decision. It's perfect for my garage gym, it was really easy to set up and to adjust while I use it. Really happy with it.

Nearly a 5 stars

Love the squat rack… but one component on the back of the squat rack that holds the plates is buckled, so the plate weight slides off. And the plastic sleeve that sits over the top (2 inch practised sleeve) the end cap does not stay fixed as it should. There is an issue with the mould of the product.

It’s a little issue and doesn’t affect the use of the squat rack, however, I expected everything to be in working order.

Lovely bit of kit, if it wasn’t for these two small issues, it would definitely be a five star!

Excellent product!

I bought this to use at home during lockdown and it was great! You can even adjust the bar holders lower to do bench if you want!

Very verstatile, rock-solid stands

First off, I briefly had the Strength Shop Original Squat Stands and so can compare them with these. In short: most definitely go with these Heavy Duty Stands if you can afford it. They are better stands in every way, and are more than worth twice the price. You cannot bench press with the standard stands or do anything other than use them as squat stands. These heavy duty stands allow you to safely do most of the exercises you would do in a power cage, in a much more compact setup that can also be easily broken down and stowed away. They can also be used with a bench (even if using a 5 ft bar). The stands are definitely not as stable as a power cage or half-rack, even when they are weighed down using the storage rack at the base. But this is still a very strong set of stands, and I feel confident it would take the rated weight. Just with a little jiggle when racking and unracking the bar. The big advantage of these stands compared to a half rack is 1) they are very compact if space is at a premium, 2) they are easily broken down for storage and 3) they can be used with a 5 ft bar and standard weights. A half-rack or power cage is just not an option if you are using standard weights and a 5 ft bar. With these stands though you can adjust the width for a 5 ft bar, and if you progress to olympic weights and a 7 ft bar, they will work just as well. The storage rack at the bottom of the stands can take both standard weights, and olympic weights with the included sleeve. The safety bars are perfectly adequate for doing squats and all the other basic exercises. They are a little short, but work well. You can buy normal length safety spotters for this 60mm rack, but the danger is if you rest a fully loaded bar on it, the stands might tip over as they will overhang the base. The only issue with the stands that I can see is that the storage rack at the base of the stands is only welded on by half a tab. You can definitely feel it flexing when loading and unloading weights. They could have easily welded it on both sides with a full tab, which would make it a lot stronger. In all, I strongly recommend these if space is at a premium but you need to do the exercises you would normally do in a power cage. I’ve done squats flat/incline/decline bench, push presses and dips with this setup and an adjustable bench up to 250kg with both a 5 ft and 7ft bar with no problems at all.
